Ryan Johnson

Ryan Johnson has a diverse and extensive work experience within the design industry. Ryan is currently working as the Principal Product Designer at WeightWatchers starting from October 2023. Prior to this role, Ryan held leadership positions at Dribbble, including Vice President of Product Design from May 2022 to July 2023, Director of Design from January 2022 to May 2022, and Principal Product Designer from October 2019 to January 2022. Ryan also served as a Senior Product Designer at Dribbble from January 2019 to October 2019.

Before joining Dribbble, Ryan worked as the Lead Product Designer at Kickstarter from March 2018 to January 2019. Ryan also served as a Product Design Advisor at Playlist from February 2018 to October 2018.

Ryan has prior experience as a Design Director and Technical Design Lead at MetaLab from June 2017 to March 2018 and September 2016 to June 2017, respectively. Ryan started their journey at MetaLab as a Product Designer from September 2015 to September 2016.

Additionally, Ryan worked as the Lead Product/Brand Designer at Canvaspop from October 2012 to September 2015. Before that, they founded and worked as a Freelance Founder/Designer/Developer at Carton Creative from January 2007 to September 2015.

Ryan's early career involved positions at Shopify as a Designer from August 2011 to November 2011, Baytek as a Web Developer/Designer from January 2010 to August 2011, and Statistics Canada as a Web Developer in 2009. Overall, Ryan Johnson has a wealth of experience in product design, leadership, and freelancing across various industries and roles.

Ryan Johnson graduated from Carleton University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Information Technology and Multimedia Design. Ryan also attended Algonquin College to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology & Multimedia Design.
