Ignat Mechev

Maintenance Engineer at Dronamics

Ignat Mechev has worked in the aviation industry since 2003. From 2003 to 2012, they were the Chief of Technicians at the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Bulgaria, where they managed flight technicians and performed check flights after major components replacement or after T/A inspection. Ignat also monitored vibration levels. From 2012 to 2019, they were an Expert at the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Bulgaria, where they monitored airworthiness directives and other regulatory requirements, created engineering orders, and performed analysis of SBs and SLs in accordance with non-mandatory modification embodiment policy. Ignat is currently a Maintenance Engineer at DRONAMICS, a position they have held since 2022.

Ignat Mechev completed their Master's degree in Aviation Equipment and Technology from the National Military University Vasil Levski in 2002. Ignat has also obtained various certifications, such as Part CAMO from the Institute of Air transport in 2021, MAKILA 1 series - 2nd line maintenance from Safran Helicopter Engines in 2020, part M reg. 1321/2014 course from Private College of Transportation - Sofia in 2019, Squadron officer from Inter-European Air Forces Academy in 2018, Maintenance check flight engineer course on AS532AL from Eurocopter Training Services in 2007, AS532-H215M airframe type qualification from Eurocopter Training academy in 2007, and Makila 1 series maintenance course from Turbomeca in 2007.
