Jerry Cortes

Jerry Cortes has extensive experience in the field of software quality assurance. Jerry is currently employed as a Sr. Software QA Engineer at DroneBase, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to this role, Jerry worked at DIRECTV for over seven years as a Mobile Software QA Engineer. Before joining DIRECTV, they worked as a Sr. QA Tester at Big Red Button Entertainment, Inc. for a short period. Jerry also gained experience as a QA Tester at Turtle Rock Studios and Neversoft Entertainment.

From 2003 to 2012, Jerry worked at THQ, Inc. in various roles, including Senior QA Outsource Project Lead, Senior QA Lead, and Test Lead. Jerry started their career at THQ as a QA Tester.

Before transitioning into the software industry, Jerry worked at WRS Film & Video Lab as an Audio Engineer, where they were responsible for restoring audio tracks, laying down audio tracks for film dailies, and creating mag tracks for mastering. Prior to that, they served as an A/V Specialist at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where they prepared A/V equipment, performed repairs, and managed equipment check-in and check-out.

Jerry's career began in 1994 at Atlantic Records, where they worked as a College Marketing Rep. Thus, Jerry Cortes has a diverse background in software quality assurance, audio engineering, and A/V equipment management.

Jerry Cortes attended The Art Institute of Pittsburgh from 1994 to 1997, where they obtained an Associates degree in Music and Video Business.
