Ryan Gaunt

Ryan Gaunt has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Ryan is currently the Director of Quality, Health, and Safety at DroneBase, a position they have held since July 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director of Operations-Renewables at DroneBase from October 2019 to July 2022.

Before joining DroneBase, Ryan worked at PrecisionHawk as a Senior Project Manager from July 2019 to October 2019, and as a Project Manager and Analyst from September 2018 to July 2019. Ryan also had a role as a Project Manager at InspecTools, which was acquired by PrecisionHawk. Ryan held this position from August 2014 to September 2018 and was involved in project management for a GIS-based asset management software start-up with a focus on aerial inspection and data acquisition for utility-scale Wind, Solar, and Power T&D Industries.

Ryan's earlier experience includes being a Project Manager at Rope Partner, Inc. from April 2012 to August 2014 and working as a WindCorps Technician at the same company from July 2011 to April 2012. Ryan also worked in construction at Epiphany Builders from October 2006 to June 2011 and held multiple roles, including Dancer, Technical Director, and Assistant Manager, at AscenDance Project from April 2006 to April 2011.

Furthermore, Ryan had the role of Owner at Aere Fashion from 2007 to 2010 and served as a member of Tuolumne Search and Rescue at Yosemite National Park from May 2005 to October 2006. Ryan began their career as the Head Climbing Director at Camp High Rocks, Inc. from June 1999 to October 2004.

Ryan Gaunt obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Wilderness Leadership and Experiential Education from Brevard College between 1998 and 2001. Prior to that, they attended Chapel Hill High School from 1994 to 1998, where they studied General Studies.

In addition to their formal education, Ryan Gaunt has obtained several certifications. Ryan received an ISO 9001/ISO 14001/ISO 45001 Integrated Internal Auditor certification from the Bureau Veritas Group in February 2022. In September 2019, they obtained the IS-100: Intro to Incident Command System and IS-700: Intro to National Incident Management System certifications from FEMA. In November 2021, they acquired the GWO Fire Awareness, GWO First Aid, and GWO Manual Handling certifications from FMTC Safety USA. Ryan also holds a Remote Pilot Certificate obtained from the FAA in November 2016. Moreover, they obtained a SPRAT certification from the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT) in June 2011.
