Alex Buckley

Sr Director, Business Development - Delivery Partnerships at DroneUp

Alex Buckley has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. They began their career in the banking sector, working as a Credit Analyst and Loan Operations specialist at Legacy National Bank from 2007 to 2009. In this role, they focused on risk management, loan analysis, and customer support.

Following their time in banking, Alex moved into the retail industry, joining Garan Inc in 2009. They worked as an Apparel Demand Planner and later as a Replenishment Analyst, responsible for coordinating garment inventory management and product pushes at Walmart stores and distribution centers.

In 2011, Alex transitioned to the entertainment industry, taking on intern roles at East Pleasant Pictures and The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. They gained experience in production and digital media during these internships.

In 2013, Alex joined Handy HQ, where they initially worked in Business Development and Partnerships before transitioning to Marketing and Partnerships in 2015. They played a crucial role in driving growth and developing strategic partnerships for the company.

In 2016, Alex founded their own startup called PostBunny and served as the Founder and President for a year. This experience allowed them to develop skills in entrepreneurship, leadership, and project management.

From 2018 to 2022, Alex joined Walmart, working in multiple roles. They first worked in Business Development and Strategy for Walmart Services and Digital Acceleration, contributing to the company's growth and innovation. In 2021, they transitioned to the Home & Tech Services department, where they were involved in managing and expanding service offerings.

Currently, Alex is working at DroneUp as Business Development - Delivery & Site Services, a role they started in February 2022.

Alex Buckley's education history begins in 2003 when they enrolled at the University of Arkansas - Sam M. Walton College of Business. Alex completed their Bachelor's degree in Finance Investments/Management in 2007. In 2004, Alex participated in a Study Abroad Program at the Universidad de Granada, with a focus on Spanish.

Alex later pursued further education by attending Columbia Business School from 2016 to 2017, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
