Brian Scoles

Brian Scoles has a diverse work experience, having held various roles in different industries. Brian started their career as an Education Project Administrator at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy in 1999 and later transitioned to be a Congressional Liaison for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2000. Brian then became a Legislative Director at the Michigan Senate in 2003.

In 2004, Brian joined the American Red Cross & Red Cross Western Carolinas Region, where they held multiple positions, including Director of Public Relations and Chief Public Affairs Officer. Brian was responsible for setting the strategic communications direction, overseeing external communications, managing social media, and engaging with media. Brian stayed with the organization until October 2013.

After their time with the American Red Cross, Brian worked as an Independent PR & Media Relations Practitioner, providing consulting services, and later joined BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina as a Senior Media Relations Specialist from 2015 to 2016.

In 2016, Brian moved to Carolina Resolutions Services, LLC, where they worked as a Drone Remote Pilot in Command until 2022. During this time, they gained expertise in operating drones and became responsible for conducting remote piloting activities.

Brian also had a brief period as the Owner of Strong Tower Roofing in 2022.

Most recently, Brian joined DroneUp in November 2022 as a Flight Engineer, where they continue to utilize their skills and knowledge in the drone industry.

Brian Scoles completed their MPS degree in Strategic Public Relations from The George Washington University from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, they pursued a BBA in Business Management and Marketing Management from Northwood University between 1996 and 1999. In addition to their formal education, Brian also obtained several certifications including Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Site Technologies from DroneBase in August 2022, as well as a Remote Pilot Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration in July 2022. Brian also obtained certifications in Jeanne Clery Act Compliance from Security on Campus, Inc. in August 2011. There is no information available on the completion dates or institutions for their Advanced Public Information Officer and Crisis Emergency Risk Communicator certifications.
