Taheri Shahrad

Shahrad Taheri is a distinguished academic and healthcare leader with extensive experience in clinical epidemiology and health services research, serving as a Professor at Weill Cornell Medicine and Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar since August 2013. In addition to overseeing clinical research initiatives and leading the Clinical Research Core, Shahrad Taheri has played a pivotal role in the establishment and training of Qatar’s first institutional Data and Safety Monitoring Board. Currently, Shahrad Taheri is the Editor in Chief of Clinical Obesity and holds editorial roles in several prominent journals. As Chair of the Research for Qatar National Diabetes Strategy and a member of the Qatar National Diabetes Committee, Shahrad Taheri contributes significantly to shaping diabetes services and research in the region. Educational qualifications include a PhD from Imperial College London and multiple executive and medical degrees from renowned institutions.
