Carlos Fuentes

Carlos Fuentes is a seasoned professional in the field of cybersecurity, currently serving as a Senior Security Engineer specializing in Threat Intelligence at Dropbox since September 2021. Prior to this role, Carlos gained extensive experience at Amazon from July 2014 to September 2021 in various security engineering capacities. Carlos also held significant positions at RedIRIS, where duties included Incident Handling Coordinator from June 2005 to June 2014, and at CERN, contributing to the EGEE Project's Incident Response Team between 2006 and 2010. Additionally, Carlos was involved in incident handling at JANET-CERT/UKERNA from June 2004 to June 2005 and worked as a Postmaster and Middleware Engineer at RedIRIS/CSIC from February 2001 to May 2004. Carlos holds a degree in Computer Science, specializing in Network and Software Engineering, from Universidad de Murcia, obtained between 1995 and 2001, and completed early education at Colegio San Pablo in Abarán, Murcia, from 1982 to 1990.
