Tristen Svendsen has worked as a Lead Design Engineer at Dropcopter since December 2019, where their responsibilities include creating custom electromechanical systems for UAVs, designing PCBs and mechanical components, and being the first pilot to test the equipment. Prior to that, they worked as an Electrical Engineer at MAKEL ENGINEERING, INC. from May 2018 to December 2019, focusing on embedded systems development and creating a C++ framework for custom ARM-M4 control boards. They were also responsible for troubleshooting and modifying hardware, creating interfaces in C#, and running tests to validate firmware/software and design compensation algorithms. In 2017, Tristen Svendsen worked as a Raspberry Pi Instructor at Upward Bound for a brief period.
Tristen Svendsen attended California State University, Chico from 2016 to 2019. During this time, they pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Computer Engineering. Their field of study focused on Embedded Systems.
