Sunson Sunny

Sunson Sunny is an accomplished engineering professional specializing in the design and development of medical devices. Currently serving as a Lead Design Engineer at BD since November 2025, Sunson previously held the position of Senior Technical Lead - Mechanical at Gadgeon Systems Inc., where responsibilities included leading a team for mechanical testing of medical devices and establishing testing ecosystems. Sunson has extensive experience in verification and validation, having served as a Senior Verification and Validation Engineer and Lead Engineer in R&D roles at HCL Technologies, focusing on various class III medical devices and NPD efforts. Earlier career experience includes research and development positions at Nano Therapeutics and Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology. Sunson holds a Bachelor of Technology in Production Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut and a Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering Trivandrum.
