Natalie Schlocker

Creative Director at DRS and Associates

Natalie is the creative director of DRS Worldwide, and the yin to David’s yang as she translates his grand ideas into dynamic visual expressions for their clients. Curious, intuitive and a forward-thinker, she approaches each project — big or small — from an artist’s point of view but never loosing sight of the client’s strategic objectives. Her personal mantra — "the true meaning of art is the evolution of exploring new media” — means that she is constantly evolving her craft. Whether it’s creating a simple layout or building out a brand strategy, Natalie applies the same level of detail, signature style and quality that marks all of her creative endeavors.

Like David, Natalie is a sharp observer of life and her perspective is always evolving. She continues to be inspired by travel, art, architecture, music, film, literature and technology. It is through this lens that she is able to capture what’s moving culture at any particular moment, and interpret it for the luxury home lifestyle world. Natalie honed her deadline-driven approach to art direction after spending more than a decade in the entertainment industry.

For many years, she headed her own graphic design agency, creating key art for advertising agencies and studios, building branding projects for restaurants and start-ups and helped design the packaging and promotional design on hundreds of classic films from Columbia and MGM. She also spent five years at Tribune Entertainment, a television production company as director of creative services. While here, she launched an entirely new department. She created the marketing collateral for several syndicated television shows. She developed digital multimedia campaigns and managed multi-day photo shoots.

Late-night press checks, tight deadlines — none of it fazes Natalie to this day. She easily tows the line between creativity and management. Natalie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design from California State University at Northridge, and continued her academic training at the prestigious Pasadena Art Center.
