Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative - DNDi
Carol Ruffell is currently the Head of the Southern Africa Joint Office for both the Global Antibiotic R&D Partnership (GARDP) and the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi), a position held since October 2017. Prior to this role, Carol served as Director of Global Public Health & Access to Medicines at Johnson & Johnson from August 2005 to April 2017, and held positions in commercial sales and marketing at GSK, and as a retail community pharmacist at Dischem. Carol's early career included roles as a development and regulatory pharmacist at Adcock Ingram. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Health from the University of Liverpool, a Certificate in Business Project Management from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Rhodes University.
