Norah Tonui has worked in various roles since 2014. In 2014, they were an intern at Equator Bottlers in Kisumu, where they were involved in the production and processing of soft drinks, as well as water treatment, refrigeration, waste water treatment, boiler operations, and steam generation. In 2015, they were a Relationship Officer at Equity Bank Limited, where they offered services and handled customer concerns. In 2019, they worked as a Process Engineer at DryGro, managing and maintaining technical operations in Kenya and developing and implementing a maintenance regime for the M2 pilot facility. Also in 2019, they worked as an Energy Audit Assistant at Altair Systems Ltd, where they were tasked with performing general audits and investment grade energy audits for manufacturing plants.

Norah Tonui attended Moi University from 2009 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Engineering-Chemical and Process Engineering. norah also attended Moi Tea Girls Secondary School from 2004 to 2007, where they earned their Kenya Certificate of Secondary School Education.
