Peter Rasch has a diverse and extensive work experience in the water, meteorological, and oceanographic sectors. Peter is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Dryp ApS, where they help promote the use of IoT Dryp sensors and analytics tools for urban wastewater infrastructure. Prior to that, they were the Director and Partner at InforMetics, specializing in real-time measurements, numerical forecast models, and data analysis for various water-related processes.
Peter also had a significant role as the Danish representative at the UNESCO - Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, where they represented Denmark and the national oceanographic institutes in IOC-UNESCO assemblies. Peter was elected to the IOC executive-council during their tenure.
Before joining UNESCO, Peter worked at the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI), first as the Director Collaboration & Innovation, responsible for making DMI's data and knowledge accessible to external stakeholders. Peter then served as the Director of the Centre for Ocean and Ice at DMI, managing weather, ocean, and ice-related research, operational services, and commercial activities.
In their earlier career, Peter worked at DHI as a Business Development Manager and Head of Department, focusing on marine-related business development. Peter also had a role as the Regional Modelling Lead - Middle East at Halcrow.
Peter began their professional journey at DHI Australia in 1999 as an Oceanographer and later became a Principal Engineer. Additionally, they held the position of Head of Innovation Marine Software, where they contributed to the development of marine software.

Peter Rasch attended the United World College of the Atlantic from 1988 to 1990, where they obtained an International Baccalaureate (IB) degree. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Copenhagen from 1992 to 1999, where they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Geophysics and Oceanography.
