Luiz Leite

Luiz Leite serves as the Vice President and Head of East Africa at dsm-firmenich since April 2023, following a long tenure at DSM, where roles included Vice President East Africa, Managing Director, and Sr. Program Director for DSM Nutritional Products. Luiz has focused on initiatives to enhance the livelihoods of smallholder farmers through sustainable protein production across Africa and Latin America. Previous positions also encompassed Global Business Director for the Sugar Reduction Platform and VP of Growth Platforms, managing essential enzyme solutions. Luiz has extensive experience in project management, general management, and business development within the food and nutrition sectors across various regions. Educational qualifications include multiple MBAs and a Bachelor's in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from Universidade Federal do Paraná.
