Richard Carpenter

Richard Carpenter is a seasoned meteorologist with extensive experience in research and application development. Currently serving as a Senior Research Meteorologist at DTN since November 2018, Richard previously held the same title at Weather Decision Technologies Inc. from June 2000 to November 2018. From November 1993 to May 2000, Richard worked as a Senior Research Scientist at the University of Oklahoma, where contributions included the development of real-time applications of the ARPS mesoscale meteorological model. Richard holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Meteorology and a Master’s Degree in Meteorology, both from the University of Oklahoma, in addition to a Bachelor’s Degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of California, Davis.
