Salman Iqbal

Salman Iqbal has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Salman started their career as an Assistant Engineer at Resource Engineering Projects in 2010 and later became an Engineer at the same company. In 2011, they joined Royal Bank of Scotland Global Banking and Markets as a Software Developer. From 2014 to 2019, they worked at JLT Employee Benefits, first as a Senior Software Developer and then as a Lead Developer. In 2018, they co-founded Cloud Native Wales. Salman served as a Technical Lead at the Office for National Statistics from 2019 to 2020 and as a Data Science DevOps in the Data Science Campus in 2020-2021. Salman also worked as a Solutions Architect at the Bank of England from 2021 to 2023. In 2019, they became a Kubernetes Instructor at learnk8s. In 2021, they worked as an MLOps Consultant at Appvia, and in 2023, they joined DUAL Group as the Head of DevSecOps.

Salman Iqbal completed their education with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Robotics from the University of Bristol during the years 2014-2016. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Avionic Systems Engineering (MEng) from the same university from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Salman Iqbal obtained a certification in Advanced Kubernetes Course from Learnk8s in the year 2021.
