Catherine A. Hewett is a Conflicts and Business Intake Compliance Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel in Philadelphia. As Compliance Counsel, Ms. Hewett's work focuses on legal ethics compliance, identifying and resolving conflicts of interest, and ensuring adherence to the rules of professional conduct.

Prior to joining Duane Morris, Ms. Hewett was a litigator at several large law firms. Most recently, she was a senior staff attorney in the White Collar and Securities Practice Group at Dechert LLP, where her work was devoted to defending pharmaceutical companies and other large corporations during federal criminal investigations. As an associate at Reed Smith LLP and Pepper Hamilton LLP, she primarily defended pharmaceutical companies in products liability matters. Her commitment to pro bono service has included acting as a volunteer attorney for the Support Center for Child Advocates and serving as a volunteer and team leader for the Committee of Seventy.

Ms. Hewett is a 1998 graduate, cum laude, of Temple University School of Law, and a 1988 graduate, cum laude, of Millersville University (B.A., Political Science). She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
