Ammar Ahmed has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Ammar began their career at Genpact in 2003, where they worked as an intern in the Credit Cards Process. Ammar then joined ADP - Brokerage Services as an Associate in 2004 before moving to Broadridge as an Analyst - Team Leader in 2007.
In 2008, Ammar started working at Dar Al Sharia as an Officer - Capital Markets and later became a Senior Officer - Projects. Ammar then progressed to the role of Assistant Manager - Sharia Advisory and ultimately became the Manager - Sharia Advisory. From 2016 to 2020, they served as the Head Of Product Development and Training at Dar Al Sharia. In 2021, they were appointed as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
Aside from their work at Dar Al Sharia, Ammar also held a role at Dubai Islamic Bank, where they currently serve as the Head of Product Development in the Sharia Control Department. Ammar also serves as a Parent Governor at the International School of Creative Science since 2020.
Ammar Ahmed holds an MBA degree in Finance & Marketing from Osmania University, completed in 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree in Finance from the same university in 2004. In terms of additional certifications, Ammar has completed the "Innovation of Products and Services: MIT's Approach to Design Thinking" course offered by MIT Sloan Executive Education and is also a Certified Sharia Advisor and Auditor, certified by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI).
