Kaizer Manasoe

Kaizer Manasoe has a strong background in data management and governance. Kaizer is currently serving as the Vice President and Head of Data Governance at Dubai Islamic Bank since August 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at Standard Bank Group as the Executive Head of Data Management for Corporate and Investment Banking in Africa from January to August 2021.

Kaizer also served as a Board Member for DAMA (Data Management Association) Southern Africa from May 2019 to August 2021. Before that, they held various positions at Standard Bank South Africa, including Head of Master Data, Reference Data, and Metadata Management from September 2017 to January 2021.

Kaizer'sprevious roles at Standard Bank Group include Head of Information Governance from July 2016 to August 2017 and Specialist of Data Governance for Greater Africa from July 2015 to July 2016.

During their time at Standard Bank Group, they also served as Manager of Portfolio Metrics and Management Information, Business Intelligence Manager, and Executive Reporting & Data Visualization.

Prior to joining Standard Bank Group, Kaizer worked as a Global Data Steward at Dimension Data from May 2011 to July 2012. Kaizer began their career at Standard Bank Group in 2005, holding roles such as Enterprise Data Architect, Database Administrator, and Business Support Specialist.

Kaizer Manasoe, CDMP, has a diverse education history. In 2004-2009, they pursued a diploma in Information Technology from the University of Johannesburg. Later, in 2010, they obtained a Diploma in Business Analysis from the Faculty Training Institute. Kaizer then advanced their studies with a MAP (Management Advancement Programme) in Business Administration and Management from WITS Business School in 2014. Most recently, in 2023-2024, they completed a Master's degree in Data Science from Middlesex University Dubai. Alongside their formal education, Kaizer holds additional certifications, including Certified Data Protection Officer from Meirc Training & Consulting and Certified Data Management Professional from DAMA Southern Africa, obtained in 2023 and 2019 respectively.
