Chief Management Knowledge Specialist at Dubai Municipality

Obaid Al Ketbi has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Obaid started their career as a Diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in 1999 and worked there until 2007. Following that, they joined The General Secretariat Of The Executive Council - Government of Dubai as a Project Manager and served in this role for four years. In 2012, they became the Director of Learning and Development at the Ministry of Health and Prevention - UAE before transitioning to the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs as the Director of UAE Gov. Leadership Programme in 2013. In 2018, they joined Dubai Municipality as the Chief Management Knowledge Specialist. Most recently, they have been serving as the Director General at Ayan Alhaya For Management Consultancies since 2016.

Obaid Al Ketbi has a diverse and extensive education history in various fields. In 1997-1998, they obtained a B.A in Management Information Systems from Colorado Technical University. Obaid also attended the Leading for Results Programme at INSEAD in 2008 and participated in workshops such as Leadership Style workshop and Aligning your People with your Leadership Vision. Obaid further enhanced their leadership skills by completing the Government Leaders program at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Leadership Development from 2008 to 2010. In 2013, they attended the Central Officials Training Institute-Korea's Global Leadership Forum and received a certification in Leadership Services from Ron Kaufman. Additionally, they obtained a Professional Certificate from CIPD Qualifications in 2010. More recently, in 2021, they acquired the SHRM-SCP qualification from SHRM and became a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coaching Federation. Obaid Al Ketbi continues to expand their knowledge and skills by obtaining additional certifications in various areas such as Innovation Management and Agile Coaching.
