John O'Hara is a seasoned City Planning Officer and Head of Land Use Policy for Dublin, with a tenure at Dublin City Council beginning in June 2015. O'Hara is responsible for shaping the strategic planning vision for the city, overseeing the Development Plan, Strategic Development Zones, Local Plans, and managing over 3,000 planning decisions annually. Prior to this role, O'Hara served as Assistant Team Leader at Liverpool City Council from August 1987 to July 1997. O'Hara holds a BA (Hons) in Town Planning and a BPl (Hons) in Urban Planning, both obtained from The University of Manchester, and received foundational education at St. Michael’s College in Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh.
