Romain Denis

Romain Denis currently serves as the Acting Laboratory Manager and Sport Scientist at Dublin City University since February 2023. Previously, Romain held the position of Laboratory Manager and Sport Scientist at the University of Hertfordshire from January 2019 to January 2023, and worked as an Exercise Physiologist and Teacher at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in mid-2018. Romain's career began at University College Dublin, where responsibilities included Exercise Physiologist and Laboratory Director from January 2008 to June 2016. Research interests focus on muscle mechanics, metabolic responses to exercise, and cardiovascular adjustments, while teaching interests emphasize exercise physiology, particularly cardiovascular and respiratory adaptations, blood flow control, and muscle metabolism. Educational qualifications include an MPhil in Sport and Exercise Sciences from Brunel University London, an MSc in Exercise Physiology from University of Montpellier, and a BSc in Sport and Exercise Sciences from University of Montpellier, along with a Certificate in English from University of Technology Sydney.
