Walt Kilroy

Walt Kilroy is an accomplished academic and professional in the fields of development, conflict, and security. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Associate Director at Dublin City University's School of Law and Government and the Institute for International Conflict Resolution and Reconstruction, Kilroy's experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Research Fellow at the same institution since September 2011. Prior to this, Kilroy was a PhD candidate and part-time lecturer at Dublin City University from 2005 to 2011 and worked as an Advocacy and Communications Officer for Trocaire in East Africa from 2004 to 2006. Additionally, Kilroy gained significant journalistic experience as the Deputy Foreign Editor at RTE News from 1991 to 2003. Kilroy holds a PhD and an MA in International Relations from Dublin City University, along with a Graduate Diploma in Journalism and media.
