Khaled Barqawi

Khaled Barqawi has extensive work experience in the field of internal audit and risk management. Khaled most recently served as the Chief Internal Audit Officer at Dubai Cable Company - Ducab. Prior to that, they held the position of Acting Head of Internal Audit Department at Abu Dhabi General Services (Musanada). Khaled also worked as a Senior Manager Internal Audit at Sorouh Real Estate PJSC and as a Senior Internal Auditor at Health Authority-Abu Dhabi. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Risk Officer at Commercial Bank of Qatar and as an External Auditor at Deloitte Middle East.

Khaled Barqawi has a diverse education history. In 2019, they obtained a VAT Diploma in Compliance UAE from The Association of Taxation Technician, with a focus on taxation and VAT. Prior to that, they pursued an MBA from the University of Atlanta between 2010 and 2012, specializing in Business Administration and Management. In 2014, Khaled obtained a Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) certification from the IIA-The Institute of Internal Auditors. Furthermore, in 2007, they completed their studies in Interal Control with a Certified Internal Control Auditor (CICA) degree from IIC.

Apart from their formal education, Khaled Barqawi also acquired additional certifications. In August 2023, they completed a course on Risk-Taking for Leaders offered by LinkedIn.
