Abe Yang

Senior Designer at DuckDuckGo

Abe Yang has extensive experience in the field of design, with a focus on motion UX. Abe started their career at Convio in 2005, where they worked as an Interaction Designer, responsible for communicating UI decisions to the team. Abe then transitioned to a User Interface Engineer role in the same company, splitting their time between designing and front-end programming. In 2009, they moved to iParadigms, LLC as a Senior Interaction Designer, leading the redesign of the core product and guiding other designers. In 2012, Abe joined Kareo as a UX Designer, before ultimately joining DuckDuckGo in 2014 as a Senior Motion UX Designer. In this role, they lead motion design and has led design team in user testing and research related to illustrations and motion design's impact on the brand.

Abe Yang attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2001 to 2005. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
