Mina Bach

Mina Bach has over 5 years of experience in the field of user experience (UX) design. Mina is currently working as a Senior Product Designer at DuckDuckGo since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Lead UX Instructor at BrainStation starting from March 2021. In 2018, Mina served as a Guest MBi Lecturer (UX) at Universitat de Barcelona. Mina also gained experience at IBM as a Senior UX/UI Designer from August 2021 to March 2022, and as a UX/UI Designer from February 2019 to August 2021, where they led the design of a global product and consulted on projects with other IBM development teams. Mina has worked as a Guest MBA Lecturer (UX) at Lancaster University in October 2021, and at University of Warwick - Warwick Business School in June 2020. Mina also has experience as a Product Designer at Toyota Motor Corporation from September 2017 to February 2019, where they led the design of global Toyota digital products and was involved in various aspects of the product development process. In addition, Mina has worked as a UX Designer at cxpartners from July 2017 to September 2017, a Workshop Facilitator at The British Museum from November 2015 to August 2017, and a Digital UX Designer at Wool and the Gang in May 2017. Overall, Mina has a diverse background in user experience design, with a focus on research, prototyping, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Mina Bach has a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Communication Design from Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Design from London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. Before their undergraduate studies, Mina completed a Foundation Diploma in Arts & Design at the University of the Arts London.

In addition to their formal education, Mina has acquired several certifications. Mina is an IBM Certified Accessibility Advocate, having obtained this certification in March 2022. In February 2020, they completed the "Becoming User Centric" certification from IBM. Mina also holds various certifications related to Enterprise Design Thinking from IBM, including "Team Essentials for AI," "Co-Creator," and "Practitioner." Further, they completed the "Advancing Accessibility" certification from IBM in 2019.

Other certifications and qualifications include "Emergency First Aider" from St John Ambulance, "Introduction to Content Design" from Government Digital Services, and "Mental Health First Aider" from Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England. Mina also completed the "User Experience Circuit" program from General Assembly, although the exact date of completion is unknown.
