Matteo Gillerio has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Matteo is currently serving as the Head of International Business Development at Duferco Energia SpA since January 2021. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2020, they worked as the Chief Business Development Officer at Vetrerie Riunite SPA. Matteo also held the positions of Business Unit Manager and Member of the Board at the same company from 2019 to 2020. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as the Director of Sales and Business Development in the Automotive and Perfumery Business Units at Vetrerie Riunite SPA.

In this role, they engaged with private companies, unions, and public institutions, addressing social problems and conducting workshops on ethics in the workplace.

Matteo Gillerio started their education at the Università degli Studi di Genova in 1990, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Law. Matteo successfully completed this program in 1995. Following a gap in their education, Matteo resumed their studies in 2003 and enrolled at the Pontificia Università Lateranense. Here, they pursued a Master's Degree in Social Science and Theology and completed it in 2005.
