Matteo Gillerio

Matteo Gillerio has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Matteo is currently serving as the Head of International Business Development at Duferco Energia SpA since January 2021. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2020, they worked as the Chief Business Development Officer at Vetrerie Riunite SPA. Matteo also held the positions of Business Unit Manager and Member of the Board at the same company from 2019 to 2020. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as the Director of Sales and Business Development in the Automotive and Perfumery Business Units at Vetrerie Riunite SPA.

Before their tenure at Vetrerie Riunite SPA, Matteo held the role of General Manager at AC BOILERS S.p.A. formerly ANSALDO CALDAIE - KSA Branch from 2016 to 2017. Matteo also served as the Area Sales Manager for Gulf Cooperation Countries at the same company from 2016 to 2017.

From 2012 to 2015, Matteo worked at Sofinter Group - Unity Power Alliance, where they held the position of Member of the Board. Additionally, they worked as a Business Developer, responsible for cultivating relationships with partners for new development projects. Matteo also negotiated agreements for joint research projects with various private companies and public institutions in the US and Europe.

Matteo's experience also includes working as a Project Officer at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) from 2011 to 2012. Matteo was responsible for setting up an IOM Sub Office and overseeing the safe transportation of asylum seekers to a national refugee camp.

Before that, Matteo co-founded and served as a partner at Idear Lda from 2010 to 2012. Matteo was also a co-founder and local representative at Share Ngo from 2007 to 2011.

Earlier in their career, Matteo worked as a Business Developer at Letizia SA from 2007 to 2009. Matteo also worked at the Diocese of Genoa as the Director of Labour Department from 2005 to 2007. In this role, they engaged with private companies, unions, and public institutions, addressing social problems and conducting workshops on ethics in the workplace.

Matteo Gillerio started their education at the Università degli Studi di Genova in 1990, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Law. Matteo successfully completed this program in 1995. Following a gap in their education, Matteo resumed their studies in 2003 and enrolled at the Pontificia Università Lateranense. Here, they pursued a Master's Degree in Social Science and Theology and completed it in 2005.
