Shiyou (Tony) Wu

Shiyou (Tony) Wu has a diverse work experience history. Shiyou (Tony) started as an Independent Researcher in 2018, where they applied machine learning to smart tourism and developed a new ML model called "museum2vec." Shiyou (Tony)'sproject won the Gold Prize in the Shing-Tung Yau High School Science Award and their paper was accepted by MLBDBI 2019. In 2020, Tony worked as a Machine Learning Intern at Bolan Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd., followed by a role as a Data Scientist at Duke Applied Machine Learning Group. In 2021, they became a Teaching Assistant and Undergraduate Researcher at Duke University and also joined HackDuke as a Tech Team Member. In 2022, Tony worked as a Software Engineering Intern, specifically in Machine Learning, at Meta. In 2023, they became a Quantitative Research Analyst at Duke Quantitative Finance Club. Additionally, they interned as a Software Engineering Intern at Technify, where they built a production-ready fundraising website. Throughout their various positions, Tony has gained practical experience in machine learning, data science, software engineering, and quantitative finance.

Shiyou (Tony) Wu pursued their education in a sequential manner, starting from the year 2017 and progressing to the year 2024. Shiyou (Tony) completed their high school education at The Affiliated High School of South China Normal University, where they obtained their High School Diploma.
