Shiyou (Tony) Wu has a diverse work experience history. Shiyou (Tony) started as an Independent Researcher in 2018, where they applied machine learning to smart tourism and developed a new ML model called "museum2vec." Shiyou (Tony)'sproject won the Gold Prize in the Shing-Tung Yau High School Science Award and their paper was accepted by MLBDBI 2019. In 2020, Tony worked as a Machine Learning Intern at Bolan Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd., followed by a role as a Data Scientist at Duke Applied Machine Learning Group. In 2021, they became a Teaching Assistant and Undergraduate Researcher at Duke University and also joined HackDuke as a Tech Team Member. In 2022, Tony worked as a Software Engineering Intern, specifically in Machine Learning, at Meta. In 2023, they became a Quantitative Research Analyst at Duke Quantitative Finance Club. Additionally, they interned as a Software Engineering Intern at Technify, where they built a production-ready fundraising website. Throughout their various positions, Tony has gained practical experience in machine learning, data science, software engineering, and quantitative finance.

Shiyou (Tony) Wu pursued their education in a sequential manner, starting from the year 2017 and progressing to the year 2024.
