Loryn Smith

Loryn Smith is an experienced environmental professional currently serving as an Environmental Specialist II at Duke Energy Corporation since October 2023. Previously, Loryn held positions at Hart & Hickman, PC, as a Project Environmental Scientist and Assistant Project Scientist from March 2021 to October 2023, and an Assistant Project Environmental Scientist from May 2019 to September 2020. Loryn's background also includes experience as a Project Assessor at Partner Engineering & Science, Inc., and as an Environmental Consultant with Bureau Veritas Group. Loryn holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Policy and Geography Land Use and Planning from Central Michigan University, where academic involvement included an impactful internship with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.
