Luis Abril Herrera

Luis Abril Herrera has extensive experience in project governance and management within the energy sector, currently serving as Director of Project Governance and Controls at Duke Energy Corporation since July 2018. Previously, Luis held various managerial roles at Arizona Public Service (APS) from October 2007 to March 2018, focusing on Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Project Management, Energy Delivery Customer Construction, and Distribution Planning and Asset Management. Luis successfully led change management initiatives to enhance project management and controls within APS, ensuring compliance and efficient execution of projects. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Global Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California.
