Mike Switzer

Mike Switzer has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Mike started their career as a Materials Engineer at the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission in 2001 and worked there until 2005. In 2006, they interned at NewMarket Corp in the Business Development department. From 2007 onwards, Mike joined Duke Energy Corporation, where they held multiple positions. Mike started as a Commercial Associate and gradually moved up the ranks, working as a Manager of Corporate Development, then as a Director of Corporate Development and later as the Director of Investor Relations. Their most recent role at Duke Energy Corporation is Vice President of Corporate Development, which they started in January 2022.

Mike Switzer earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia in 1999. Mike then went on to complete a Master of Science (MS) degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the same university, a four-year program that they completed in 2003. Later, in 2007, Mike pursued further education at the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
