Tom Olsen is an experienced reporter with a focus on crime, courts, and public safety at the Duluth News Tribune since August 2013. Prior to this role, Olsen worked as a staff reporter for the Duluth Budgeteer News and Lake County News Chronicle, covering a range of topics from city council meetings to community features. Experience in journalism began at The UMD Statesman as a reporter and editor, where Olsen covered news and sports stories while serving as the sports editor.
