Garrett Hughes

Garrett Hughes has a diverse work history with experience in web development, photography, and technology management. Garrett is currently serving as Senior Engineering Manager for Dune where they are responsible for managing multiple engineering teams. In previous roles, they served as the Head of Engineering for RabbitHole and CTO for Mint Songs. Garrett also founded CHNL, a video platform for music lovers. In web development, they owned and operated Garrett Hughes Web Development, specializing in data integrity and martech stack. Before transitioning into tech, Garrett owned and operated Garrett Hughes Photography, working with clients including Lamborghini and Ferrari. Garrett briefly served as CTO for Muvv.

Garrett Hughes earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Analysis from James Madison University in 2016. Garrett then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from San Diego State University from 2018 to 2020. During their time at San Diego State University, they obtained an Advanced Certificate in Web and Mobile Applications Development in May 2020. Additionally, they completed several certification programs on algorithms and data structures from Stanford University in December 2019.
