Florian Plank

Florian Plank has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Florian started their career as a Co-Founder at Ceventure, where they focused on design from 2001 to 2005. Florian then worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Lapland in 2006 and transitioned to Design Agency Fusion Oy as a Senior Visual Designer from 2007 to 2010. At Polarblau, Florian worked as a Principal Creative Technologist, consulting companies like Nokia, IKEA, and Microsoft on digital services projects from 2010 to 2013.

In 2014, Florian joined Siili Solutions, where they held various roles including Design Lead, Head of Operations in Germany, and eventually became Managing Director of the German company. During this time, they established the German entity, managed key accounts, and established sales channels. Florian's next venture was Alvardag in 2016, where they served as the CTO and focused on defining the future vision of Alvardag's Smart Home component, driving prototyping and testing efforts of hardware components, and developing global UX and AI concepts.

Florian's most recent role is at DK&A / NoA as a Chief Creative Officer, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), and Country Director & Co-Founder. As the CSO, Florian is responsible for developing and executing the company's overall strategy, leading the strategic offerings of Design Leadership and Automation and AI, and ensuring alignment with the company's values and culture. As the Country Director & Co-Founder, they established the German entity, managed top key accounts, and was responsible for global branding efforts and the development of design and engineering offerings. Overall, Florian has a strong background in design, strategy, and leadership roles within the technology and creative industries.

Florian Plank pursued their education in the field of Graphic Design and Photography from 2003 to 2005 at Universität für künstlerische und industrielle Gestaltung Linz. Florian then continued their studies in Graphic Design and Environmental Arts from 2005 to 2007 at the University of Lapland. Apart from their formal education, Florian also obtained additional certifications in various areas. In November 2019, they completed a Nanodegree in AI Programming with Python from Udacity. More recently, in July 2021, they obtained certifications in Deep Learning from Udacity and Geospatial Analysis from Kaggle.
