Charles van Belkum

Charles van Belkum has been working in the field of business analysis since 1994. Charles began their career as an Administration Clerk at the Government Pensions Administration Agency (GPAA). Charles then progressed to Senior Administration Clerk, Chief Accounting Clerk, Senior State Accountant, Assistant Manager Contributions Management, Withdrawals Operations Manager, and Senior Business Analyst. In 2016, they moved to Sapiens as a Senior Business Analyst. In 2018, they returned to GPAA as Deputy Director EB Operations. Since February 2022, they have been a Senior Business Analyst on the 7IM Retirement Income Solution (RIS) Portal project at Dunstan Thomas (DT). Theirresponsibilities include analyzing client business requirements and converting them into BDD user stories and acceptance criteria, as well as populating the backlog with these user stories using Azure DevOps.

Charles van Belkum's education history includes a National Diploma in Business Management from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika from 1998 to 2003, an Intermediate Certificate in Retirement Fund Management from the Insurance Institute of South Africa in 2006, a Programme in Business Analysis from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria from 2011 to 2012, a Programme in Management Development (PMD) from GIBS Business School (Gordon Institute of Business Science) in 2014, and an Advanced Diploma in Management from Southern Business School in 2018. Charles also attended Menlopark from 1989 to 1993. Charles van Belkum has additional certifications in ITIL Foundation Level from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2014 and IIBA from IIBA.
