Angela DiCostanzo has a strong background in English language education and curriculum design. Angela is currently working at Duolingo as a Senior Curriculum Designer since January 2018. Prior to this role, they worked as a Consultant, English Language Expert at Duolingo from April 2017 to January 2018. Angela also worked as an ESL Instructor at Maryville College from October 2016 to January 2018. Before that, they served as an ESL Coordinator at Bridge Refugee Services from April 2015 to October 2016. Angela's work experience also includes being a Hope Corps Volunteer at World Hope International from July 2012 to December 2014. Angela was an English / Literacy Program Coordinator at Bloom Cafe and Training Centre from August 2011 to July 2014. Angela started their career as an English as a Second Language Instructor at Global Scholars from September 2009 to June 2012. Prior to that, they worked as an English as a Second Language Instructor at Kansas State University from August 2006 to May 2009. Angela's early work experience includes being a Capacity Building Officer and Project Manager at Medair from January 2002 to March 2004.

Angela DiCostanzo completed their MA in Education, TESL from The University of Kansas during the years 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they earned their MA in International Studies from the University of South Carolina from 1996 to 1998.
