Courtney L.

Courtney L. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Courtney is currently working at Duolingo as a Senior User Experience Researcher in the Growth Area, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Duolingo as a UX Researcher II in the Growth Area from April 2021 to March 2023. Before joining Duolingo, Courtney worked at Facebook (via PRO Unlimited) as a Qualitative UX Researcher from February 2019 to February 2021. In addition, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Health Equity Institute for Research, Practice, and Policy from May 2010 to May 2011 and as a Lead Research Assistant at the Cultural Emotion and Research Laboratory from May 2008 to May 2010.

Courtney L. has a Master's Degree in Sociology/Human Sexuality Studies from San Francisco State University, which was obtained in 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the same university in 2011. In addition to their degrees, Courtney has obtained a certification as a California Sexual Assault Peer Counselor in 2009.
