Georgia Horton has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. In 2015, they worked as an Administrative Assistant Intern at Uncommon Schools. In 2016, they were an Administrative Intern in the Tamer Center for Social Enterprise at Columbia University. Later that year, they participated in a Social Enterprise Field Study Program at Tertiary School in Business Administration (TSiBA). In 2017, Georgia worked as a Global Researcher for the Turks and Caicos Islands Government and as a Youth Venture Intern at Ashoka. In 2018, they served as a Social Impact Marketing Co-op at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). From 2019 to 2020, Georgia worked as an Elementary Special Education Teacher and Teacher Case Manager at ReNEW Schools Charter Management Organization. Georgia then transitioned to a 2nd Grade Elementary School Teacher role until 2021. Concurrently, they were also a Corps Member at Teach For America, where they served from 2019 to 2021. Presently, Georgia is working at Duolingo as an Associate Content Program Manager.

Georgia Horton attended The Berkeley Carroll School from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Afterward, they enrolled in Northeastern University from 2014 to 2018, where they earned their Bachelor's degree in International Affairs & Environmental Studies, with a minor in Social Entrepreneurship. Alongside their studies at Northeastern University, they also briefly attended the ACT - American College of Thessaloniki in 2014, focusing on International Relations and Affairs. In addition to their academic achievements, Georgia obtained certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in May 2018 and Open Water Scuba Diving from PADI in December 2016.
