Ravi Bhushan has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Ravi currently serves as the Head of Global Business Development for Duolingo's English Test division. Prior to that, they were a member of XA Network, a tech leaders' investment network in Southeast Asia.
Before joining Duolingo and XA Network, Ravi worked at Apple for several years. Their roles at Apple included Market Development Lead for Southeast Asia, App Store Lead for Southeast Asia, and App Store Business Manager for Emerging Markets.
Ravi also has experience in the streaming industry, having served as the COO of Spuul in India.
At the beginning of their career, Ravi gained valuable skills in strategy and business development at Bain & Company, where they worked as a strategy consultant. Ravi interned with the company during their MBA and was later hired for a full-time role.
Ravi's first corporate position was at Oracle Corporation, where they were part of the Oracle Graduate Program. Their main responsibilities involved creating a pipeline for Oracle's suite of applications in Southeast Asia and Australia/New Zealand.
Additionally, Ravi has entrepreneurial experience as a co-founder of Locomi, a local search app company that operated in India and Singapore. While the product did not succeed, Ravi and their team were able to exit the company by selling assets to a competitor in Singapore.
Ravi Bhushan's education history begins with their time at La Martiniere for Boys, where they completed their I.S.C degree in Science (including Comp Sc.) from 1995 to 2004. Afterward, they attended Singapore Management University from 2004 to 2008, earning a B.Sc degree in Information Systems Management and a B.B.M degree in Business Management. Ravi then pursued further education at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, from 2010 to 2012, obtaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General.
