Rogelio Alvarez

Rogelio Alvarez is currently the VP, Business & GM, Duolingo English Test at Duolingo. Prior to this, they worked at Procter & Gamble from April 2005 to October 2013, where they were a Team Leader for Walmart CA and Costa Rica. In this role, they led the commercial team in charge of Walmart Centroamerica account (biggest retailer in the region) for all the brands and categories of Procter & Gamble. Rogelio was also responsible for the complete market of Costa Rica including traditional channel and retailers chains.

Rogelio Alvarez has a MA in Business Administration from Universidad Francisco Marroquín, a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineer from Universidad del Valle de Guatemala, and an Engineer's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad del Valle de Guatemala. Rogelio is also certified from Duolingo as a Duolingo Certified Educator and as a Duolingo Proficiency Exam in English: Expert.

They work with and George Audi - Global Head of Business Development & Partnerships. Their manager is Bob Meese, Chief Business Officer.
