Samantha Siegel has a diverse work experience in various software engineering roles. Samantha began their career at Change.org in 2012, where they co-created an online petition that successfully influenced the selection of a woman moderator for the 2012 presidential debates. In 2016, Samantha interned at Schrödinger and worked on the Force Field team, where they wrote and shipped code for their MacroModel software. Samantha also interned at Intuit the same year, developing web and Android applications for the Technical Learning team. In 2017, they joined Asana as a Software Engineering Intern, focusing on the Android team and shipping new features for their Android application. Samantha then moved to Duolingo in 2018 and held various roles, starting as a Software Engineer I and progressing to Senior Software Engineer. Samantha is currently working as a Staff Software Engineer at Duolingo. Alongside their professional experience, Samantha was also involved with the Duke University Women's Center as a Community Building and Organizing Intern, where they organized programs to support women at the university, particularly in STEM.
