Karen J. Ayala

Karen Ayala is an experienced public health leader currently self-employed since August 2023, following a significant tenure at the DuPage County Health Department, where Karen served as Unit Director and Executive Director from August 2007 until retirement. In addition to leadership roles at DuPage County, Karen also held the position of Division Director at the Winnebago County Health Department from May 1998 to August 2007. Karen earned a Master of Public Health degree in Public Administration from the University of Illinois Chicago between 2001 and 2005.
