Samar M. Semaan (سمر ميشال سمعان)

Samar M. Semaan has a range of experience in the oil and gas industry. They started working as a Process Engineer Trainee at Sicon Oil & Gas in 2012. From 2013 to 2018, they worked as a Process Engineer at Petrofac, where they were involved in the engineering design of systems and equipment in oil and gas plants. They also performed design verifications and simulations for projects and tenders. In 2018, Samar joined DuPont Sustainable Solutions as a Consultant, where they worked until 2021. In this role, they supported clients in the heavy industries on topics such as operations excellence and operations risk management. They also led an energy efficiency optimization program and an operations excellence implementation program, yielding significant financial benefits. Most recently, Samar has joined dss+ as a Manager, where they provide support to multiple clients across various industries on operations excellence and risk management.

Samar M. Semaan (سمر ميشال سمعان) began their education at Saint Joseph School-Cornet Chehwan, where they obtained their High School Diploma from 1994 to 2009. Samar M. Semaan then pursued their higher education at the American University of Beirut, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Chemical Engineering from 2009 to 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Samar M. Semaan has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Samar M. Semaan became a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) through the Association of Energy Engineers in October 2022. Samar M. Semaan also received the Certified Lean Practitioner certification from the Six Sigma Global Institute in April 2021. Furthermore, Samar acquired expertise in ASPEN PIMS through training at Aspen Technology in July 2020. Samar M. Semaan also holds the PROMAX Training Certificate Levels I & II, which they earned from Bryan Research & Engineering, LLC in September 2017.
