Jim Miller

SVP, University Advancement at Duquesne University

After serving as interim vice president for three months, the University named Jim Miller Senior Vice President for University Advancement with the enthusiastic support of the board of directors, in October 2021.

The current capital campaign being led by Miller is setting new Duquesne records raising $163.5 million to date.

In his new role, Miller is leading the advancement division injecting new energy and urgency into their work, forging strong relationships with his peers, and demonstrating a compelling sense of what is possible - earning him the necessary trust and support to pursue and achieve very ambitious goals for Duquesne.

Miller has worked in various advancement capacities at Duquesne for nearly 34 years. During his time at the university, he has worked on three successful capital campaigns: Advancing our Legacy (2008-2012), Celebration of Excellence-Opportunity of a Lifetime (1995-1999), and Spirit of the 90s (1987-1993).

After he earned a bachelor's degree in business, management, and marketing from Duquesne in 1987, he joined the Division of Advancement that same year.
