Adam Norris is an experienced police professional with a diverse background at Durham Constabulary since October 2006, currently serving as an Inspector in the Integrated Offender Management Unit (IOMU). Adam has played a pivotal role in reintroducing Drug Test on Arrest (DToA) within custody suites and has developed performance management tools to enhance its implementation. Previous roles include operational project management for the SentrySIS initiative, leadership in the Custody Department, Response Police Inspector duties across multiple locations, and involvement in innovative policing strategies such as the Checkpoint program. Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Newcastle University and a Master’s degree in Crime, Governance & Social Justice from Northumbria University.
