Mert Sahin, PhD

Mert Sahin, PhD, has an extensive work experience spanning over many years. Currently, they serve as the Chief Executive Officer at Durin Technologies, Inc. starting from May 2023. In 2022, they were a mentor at MassChallenge. Mert Sahin was also the Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at Boston BioProcess from May 2022 to April 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Vice President and Regional GM, Americas at H.E.L Group from June 2020 to May 2022.

Mert Sahin, PhD, obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biological Sciences from Middle East Technical University (Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi) between 1996 and 2000. Mert then pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree in Bioengineering and Biological Sciences at Sabanci University from 2000 to 2002. Following that, they attained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Hamburg, completing their studies in 2006.
