Abhay Darwhekar

Abhay Darwhekar has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Abhay is currently serving as the Head of Home Decor business in Duroflex Pvt Ltd since November 2020. Prior to this, they held various roles at Bombay Dyeing, including Head of Sales & SCM from April 2017 to January 2023, Category Head from April 2014 to April 2017, and Head of Supply Chain from June 2007 to April 2014. Before joining Bombay Dyeing, they worked as the Head of Products & Supply Chain at S.Kumar Nationwide Ltd from July 2006 to June 2007. Abhay also had a long tenure at The Bombay Dyeing & Mfg Co Ltd, where they served as Category Head from February 2000 to June 2006. Abhay started their career at Raymond Ltd as a Product Manager from 1985 to 1990.

Abhay Darwhekar completed their Bachelor in Textile Technology from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) between 1982 and 1986. Abhay further pursued their education at K J Somaiya Institute of Management from 1988 to 1990, where they obtained a Master in Management Studies (MMS) degree with a specialization in Marketing Management. This educational background suggests that Abhay Darwhekar has a strong foundation in both Textile Sciences and Engineering, as well as Marketing.
