Jennifer Smiley (Sjostrom)

Jennifer (Sjostrom) Smiley, SPHR has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources and organizational development. Jennifer is currently the Sr. Vice President for Human Capital and Human Resources at Duty First Consulting, where they work on various projects for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Their areas of expertise include organization development, change management, workforce development, diversity and inclusion, competency modeling, and process improvement. Prior to this, Jennifer worked at BearingPoint, where they served government agencies and commercial clients in roles related to organizational change management, workforce development, and process improvement. Jennifer also had a role as an analyst and marketing lead. Earlier in their career, they worked at Arthur Andersen as a Senior Consultant, focusing on process improvement, change management, instructional design, and workforce transition for companies undergoing organizational challenges.

Jennifer (Sjostrom) Smiley, SPHR has a strong educational background and several certifications in the field of human resources. Jennifer obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Management from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University, where they attended from 1994 to 1998. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Fargo South High School from 1990 to 1994.

In 2018, Jennifer pursued further professional development by enrolling at the University of St. Thomas. Jennifer completed a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching, which they obtained in 2019.
