Colin Final

Colin Final has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the finance industry. Colin is currently working as a Derivatives Trader at DV Trading LLC, a position they started in 2022. Previously, Colin co-founded the company commUNITY masks in 2020, where they played a key role in addressing the shortage of quality and affordable cloth masks during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Colin has a long history with DV Trading LLC, where they initially co-founded the company in 2006 and served as the Head of Derivatives Trading (Canada). During this time, they contributed to the growth and expansion of the company to over 200 employees with offices in Toronto, Chicago, and New York.

In 2012, Colin joined DV Asset Management as a Natural Gas Derivatives Trader, where they co-managed a futures and options fund focused on Natural Gas. Prior to that, they worked at Refco Trading Services as a Head Trader, where they successfully traded futures and options across various asset classes.

Colin's earlier experience includes working as a Derivatives Trader at MacFutures and as a Freelance Financial Writer at Euromoney. In addition, they have worked as a Fixed Income Broker at Cantor Fitzgerald and as a Trader in Equities at CIBC.

Colin Final attended Western University from 1993 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Colin then pursued further education at the Canadian Securities Institute from 1996 to 1998, earning certifications in CSC (Canadian Securities Course), CPH (Conduct and Practices Handbook), and COC (Options Licensing Course).
